Description
The WyattQELS™ dynamic light scattering (DLS) module integrates into a DAWN™, miniDAWN™ or microDAWN™ online multi-angle light scattering (MALS) instrument in order to determine high-resolution particle size distributions, when used in conjunction with a separation technique such as size exclusion chromatography (SEC) or Eclipse™, field-flow fractionation (FFF). The measurement is performed at exactly the same time and in the same sample volume as MALS so Rh and Rg can be compared for particle conformation insights.
Applications include the characterization of the conformation of polymers and biomolecules, detection of protein unfolding, and identification of nanoparticles and vesicles based on shape and structure. One can also use QELS insights to determine optimal chromatography conditions based on molecular conformation.
