Gas Adsorption Analyzer

Gas adsorption is a highly sought quality in materials used for gas purification and filtration, as well as hydrogen storage and fuel cells. Gas adsorption analyzers allow the biologist, material scientist, or engineer to obtain both chemisorption and physisorption, typically with algorithms based on the Langmuir or B.E.T. isotherm. Samples are placed in a sealed chamber and are cleaned. Adsorbate molecules are then pumped into the chamber of the gas adsorption analyzer and the level of adsorption is measured. A gas adsorption analyzer can hold a constant temperature between sub-zero and 500 °C, and pressures can range from 200 bar to ultra-high vacuum. Because of their similarity to pore size and surface area analyzers, gas adsorption analyzers will often have the capabilities of these instruments as well. The ability of gas adsorption analyzers to handle multiple samples and de-gas them while pore and adsorption measurements are in progress should interest the customer with high-throughput needs. Gas adsorption analyzers offer 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
