Fiber Optic Illuminator / Fiber Optic Light Source

A fiber optic light source provides illumination for samples being viewed under the microscope. It is connected to the microscope using a fiber optic cable, which guides the light from the light source to the microscope. This light source is typically a halogen or xenon lamp that emits bright and stable light in the visible spectrum. The light can be adjusted to control the brightness and intensity. fiber optic illuminators can also be used for specialized microscopy techniques such as fluorescence imaging.
