Product Application：Paromomycin sulfate salt has been used as a reference compound in antileishmanial activity, RNA-binding ligand and interacts with aptamer. This interaction prevents the binding (and cutting) of dicer to RNA duplex. It has also been used in cell culture applications at 100mg/L. Paromomycin inhibits the initiation and elongation steps of protein synthesis by binding to 16S ribosomal RNA. Paramomycin binds to the A site, which causes defective polypeptide chains to be produced and leads to cell death
