Description
GPC-IR is a fully automated high temperature Gel Permeation Chromatograph (GPC/SEC) instrument optimized for polyolefins. The integrated Infrared Detection (IR) simultaneously measures the molar mass distribution and the chemical composition distribution (short-chain branching information). IR has been proven to be the best detection for PO due to the broad spectral range enabling the analysis of the carbonyl group containing copolymers, enhanced sensitivity and stability to determine molecular weight and chemical composition (SCB/1000TC). A Viscometer and Light-scattering detectors can also be coupled to the GPC-IR system for a full characterization.
GPC-IR is the only system specifically dedicated to polyolefin characterization. It addresses many of the features demanded by experienced high temperature GPC Users:
- Due to its IR detection, GPC-IR helps with the identification of components in Post Consumer Recyclates (PCR), PP-PE blends, and other recycled polymers
- Automated sample preparation, including dissolution
- Exact time of dissolution to avoid sample degradation
- Comprehensive Detection for Polyolefins
- In-line filtration
- Up to 42 or 66 samples analyzed consecutively
- Comprehensive Calculations Software
- Modular Design
Recommended specially for polymers such as High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polypropylene (PP), Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), EP copolymers, EVA, EBA and others in the group of polyolefins.
