Description
GPC-IR system is a reliable and fully automated high temperature Gel Permeation Chromatograph (GPC/SEC) instrument with up to four most sensitive detectors to measure the molar mass distribution and the chemical composition (short-chain branching information) of polyolefins. Three different infrared detectors are available: IR4, which offers a broader spectral range enabling the analysis of the carbonyl group containing copolymers; the IR5, with enhanced sensitivity and stability to determine molecular weight and chemical composition (SCB/1000TC); and the latest IR6, which offers the same superior performance as IR5 and has the additional capability of measuring carbonyls group in the band of 1740 cm-1. A Viscometer and Light-scattering detectors can also be coupled to the GPC-IR system for a full characterization.
GPC-IR is the only system specifically dedicated to polyolefin characterization, incorporating many of the features previously demanded by experienced high temperature GPC Users:
- Comprehensive Detection for Polyolefins
- Automated Sample Preparation
- Comprehensive Calculations Software
- Modular Design
Recommended specially for polymers such as High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polypropylene (PP), Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), EP copolymers, EVA, EBA and others in the group of polyolefins.
