The PHCbi -40°C Biomedical ECO Freezer has been developed to fill the gap between conventional biomedical freezers operating at -10°C to -30°C and ultra-low temperature freezers that operate at or around -80°C. The PHCbi ECO freezer is uniquely designed for storage of temperature-sensitive materials such as enzymes, frozen vaccines, pharmaceutical products and biomedical materials that require straight-line temperature control. This dual chamber freezer offers 16.9 cu.ft. of flexible storage in two independent chambers in a single laboratory footprint. A microprocessor controller manages all functions with energy savings up to 28% lower than conventional freezers. The combination of natural refrigerants and variable speed inverter compressors enhance security and reliability. An independent high performance refrigeration system for each chamber assures responsive cooling, quick temperature recovery following door openings, resistance to high ambient facility temperatures and tolerance for fluctuating voltage during brown-out events.
