Description
Geosmin is one source of the earthy-musty taste in water. Early detection of Geosmin in source water is helpful in preventing an odor problem. These problems have been reported when levels are as little as 10-15 parts per trillion. Geosmin Standard is synthetically produced and is a mixture of the D- and L- forms of trans-1,10-dimethyl-trans-(9)decanol.
