Description
Azoxymethane [AOM] induces colon cancer in mice and rats effectively, and is widely used as a substance to cause colon cancer turmors in laboratory animals. The average dose of this product consists of a subcutaneous injection of 15mg/kg (weight) in rats once a week, for a period of about 3 weeks. After a few weeks, precancerous lesions (ACF) are observed.
