Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid and a selective retinoid X receptor (RXR) agonist with no activity at RAR. Additionally DHA activates the 3 RXR isoforms. Docosahexaenoic Acid is found in marine fish oils and in many phospholipids. and is the major structural component of excitable membranes of the retina and brain.
