Cellopentaose and other cellulodextrins such as cellulobiose, cellulotriose and cellulotetraose are used by cellulosic bacteria as sources of energy. Cellopentaose is used to help identify, differentiate and characterize oligosaccharide metabolizing enzymes.Product Application:Used by cellulosic bacteria as an energy source.
