Rapid Cell Freezing Medium (Serum-Free)

Description

This product is an advanced serum-free cell cryopreservation solution designed to significantly improve cell survival and recovery rates after freezing. Without containing any serum, it reduces the risk of contamination by viruses, bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma, ensuring the safety of preserved cells. It is suitable for cryopreserving both conventionally cultured cells and serum-free adapted cell lines.FeaturesTime-Saving & Convenient: Cells can be directly stored in a -80°C freezer without the need for programmed cooling.High Safety: Serum-free and chemically defined composition.High Quality: Ensures post-thaw cell viability exceeding 90%.Ease of Use: Stable at 2–8°C; ready to use without thawing—especially Q1492042, which requires no aliquoting.Validated Cell LinesThe following cell types have been successfully preserved with this product:HEP3B, SNU-387, SNU-423, HLE, JHH-7, A375, A2058, A431, HEK-293, HeLa, A549, NCI-H460, CHO, MCF-7, HepG2, C2C12, COS7, DU145, MDCK, NIH-3T3, MSC, PC12, RAW264.7, 769-P, HK-2, T24, M14, U87, U251, 293FT, Jurkat, Raji, K562, HCCLM3, Vero, MC3T3-E1, HCT116, H9C2, SiHa, SK-OV-3, among others.Instructions for UseCell Freezing ProcedureHarvest adherent or suspension cells in the logarithmic growth phase and perform cell counting.Transfer the cell suspension into a centrifuge tube and pellet the cells by centrifugation (recommended: 1,000–2,000 rpm, 3–5 min). Aspirate the supernatant completely.Add an appropriate amount of cryopreservation medium into the tube and adjust the cell concentration to 1–5×10⁶ cells/mL. Mix gently to form a homogeneous suspension.Aliquot the cell suspension into clearly labeled cryovials.Place the cryovials directly into a -80°C freezer for storage. For long-term storage in liquid nitrogen, transfer cryovials to a liquid nitrogen tank after overnight storage at -80°C.Cell Thawing ProcedureQuickly thaw frozen cryovials in a 37°C water bath with gentle agitation.Once fully thawed, immediately transfer the contents to a centrifuge tube containing 5 mL of cell culture medium. Centrifuge (1,000–2,000 rpm, 3–5 min) to pellet the cells.Carefully remove the supernatant. Resuspend the cells in an appropriate volume of fresh culture medium and transfer to a prepared culture vessel. After microscopic examination, proceed with routine cell culture as required.PrecautionsRepeated opening and use of this product may cause minor crystalline precipitation, which is normal and does not affect performance. Aliquot usage is recommended to avoid this and minimize cross-contamination.After aliquoting cells, transfer cryovials to the -80°C freezer as soon as possible. For long-term storage (≥6 months), transfer cryovials to a liquid nitrogen tank. When cryopreserving stem cells or primary cells, conduct a preliminary test using this product for at least one week to verify performance. This product contains DMSO. Wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during use.For research use only
