AVE-9488 is an eNOS enhancer with the activity of protecting the heart from ischemia-reperfusion injury. AVE-9488 can upregulate eNOS expression, increase NO production, reduce myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, and reduce the level of reactive oxygen species[1]
