Description
3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5-methylcytidine (CS-92) is a potent xenotropic murine leukemia-related retrovirus (XMRV) inhibitor with a CC50 of 43.5 µM in MCF-7 cells. 3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5-methylcytidine also inhibits HIV-1 reverse transcriptase with an EC50 of 0.06 µM in peripheral blood mononuclear (PBM) cells[1]. 3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5-methylcytidine is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups.
