ALG-055009 is a thyroid hormone receptor β (THR-β) agonist with an EC50 value of 0.063 µM. In rats on a high-fat diet, ALG-055009 can lower total cholesterol levels. ALG-055009 can be used in studies related to metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease[1]
