Herpes simplex virus 1 stock is produced by cell culture and formulated with purified, intact viral particles. The virus particles have been chemically modified to render them non-infectious and refrigerator stable. The inactivation was verified in a standard microbiological growth protocol. HSV-1 stock can be used in the development of HSV-1 diagnostics and in vaccine development and R&D.
