iNeuMito™ cells contain mitochondrial biosensors integrated into human iPS-derived neural progenitor cells. Mitochondrial dysfunction is related to human nervous system diseases and mental diseases, and neural progenitor cells have been used as cell models. iNeu's biosensor can respond to changes in mitochondrial calcium and report an increase or decrease in calcium content in the 605nm-625nm fluorescence range (excitation/emission). These sensors have an excellent signal-to-noise ratio and can operate in the range of seconds to minutes. This tool provides an effective method for detecting changes in mitochondrial organelles and enables high-throughput screening methods for drug discovery and toxicology screening.
