iNeu™ Human Motor Neurons

Description

iNeu™ cells are reprogrammed from human iPSC-derived multipotent progenitor cells, using integration-free induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines under fully defined proprietary serum-free, virus-free, nucleic-acids-free, feeder-free, and integration -free technology conditions. Motor neurons have synapses that are transmitted through cholinergic transmitters. These synapses require extremely rapid inactivation of the transmitter acetylcholine (Ach) by using the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AchT). AchT hydrolyzes acetylcholine into acetate and choline as an inactivation method. iNeu™ cells are plated as a monolayer when cultured, showing a polarized structure and expressing biomarkers, acetylcholinesterase (AchT), β-TUJ (neuron specific), Isl1 and HB9.
