Description
iNeuMito™ cells contain mitochondrial biosensors in astrocytes derived from human iPS. The destruction of mitochondrial function in human astrocytes is related to Alzheimer's disease and ischemia. iNeu's biosensor can respond to changes in mitochondrial calcium and report an increase or decrease in calcium content in the 605nm-625nm fluorescence range (excitation/emission). These sensors have an excellent signal-to-noise ratio and can operate in the range of seconds to minutes. This tool provides an effective method for detecting changes in mitochondrial organelles and enables high-throughput screening methods for drug discovery and toxicology screening.
