Description
iNeu™ human iPSC-derived astrocytes are derived from a non-integrated induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line under fully defined proprietary neural induction conditions. iNeu™ cells are plated as a monolayer when cultured, showing a polarized structure, and expressing astrocyte markers, GFAP, EAAT1, Aquaporin family genes and S100beta, and have calcium wave activity (see above). There are two subtypes of human astrocytes: type I and type II.>90% of iNeu™ astrocytes are type II. If you need Type I astrocytes or neuron-astrocyte cocultures, please email us.
