Lipoprotein lipase belongs to the family of triglyceride lipases. It hydrolyses triglycerides in triglyceride-rich ApoB-containing lipoproteins.Lipoprotein lipase has been used in a study to assess the role of lipogenic enzymes in colorectal cancer.
