Description

α−Mannosidase from Canavalia ensiformis is a tretamer composed of two subunits that each contain two components at 44 and 66 kDa. α-Mannosidase is an exo-glycosidase and an inc metalloenzyme.Lysosomal α-mannosidases are class II mannosidases that belong to glycoside hydrolase family 38 and play an important role in the degradation of asparagine-linked carbohydrates of glycoproteins. Application:α-Mannosidase can be used to liberate mannose from a variety of synthetic and natural α-mannosides. It has also been used in a study to investigate the causes of neurodegeneration in mucolipidosis II ′knock-in′ mice. α-Mannosidase from Canavalia ensiformis (Jack bean) has been used:for the digestion of neutral glycans.to remove O-glycans from recombinant β-glucosidasefor the inhibition of renal fibroblasts proliferationLiberates mannose from a variety of synthetic and natural α-mannosides
