I use this in the laboratory, as our PCR workstation, which provides good quality results during DNA and/or RNA amplification and helps prevent cross-contamination between samples. This has no ventilation that helps avoid contamination, only UV sterilization lamps, which is a highly effective technique. I prepare reactions at this station and always get highly accurate results with very little to no contamination of other samples. It takes space in the lab but worth having it to reduce the contamination and errors in the experiments which are very sensitive.
