PVDF is a good membrane for transferring and immobilising both cytoplasmic and nuclear proteins from SDS-PAGE gel. Infrared dyes used for proteins visualization are captured well in PVDF membrane. Activation of PVDF membrane is required before protein transfer by methanol for 1 min and MilliQ water for 1 min.
