The Fisherbrand microcentrifuge tube is very efficient for small volume samples, and I use this in my lab experiments a lot on a daily basis. I need the tubes that can hold up to 1.8 mL volume and hold effectively for the high centrifuge spinning. This purpose is easily solved by the 2.0 mL tubes from Fisher Scientific and the caps are also very stable and don't open during centrifugation. Easy to pipette in and outside the tubes for molecular experiments.
