We have several of these because with different rotors and buckets, you can centrifuge practically anything you'd want; from tubes to plates, there's something that can support it.
The centrifuges themselves are great and the tech support and Eppendorf are great too. Although, they won't be very helpful when it comes to fixing things. If you plan to buy a new one usually you can get a service contract with it. If you buy a used one you probably won't. It's helpful having someone skilled in electronics who can, without a schematic, get in there and figure out what's going wrong. Eppendorf quoted us $900 for a new control board. We fixed our control board for $75.
