Hanks’ Balanced Salt solution
This medium is useful in cell culture. Survival of the cells is good for up to 12 hours. This medium doesn’t contain red phenol which is why we are using it to look ionic profile of cells by checking the optic density experiment. Be careful if you are doing an osmolarity experiment because there is a discrepancy between bottles.
