Assessing Low Quantity RNA Using The Agilent Bioanalyzer RNA 6000 Pico Kit

I use this kit to quantify very low levels of RNA isolated from serum extracellular vesicles. I have yet to find an alternative that is as sensitive, so the kit has a big advantage for its sensitivity. However, the disadvantages include its high price, the fact that it is quite complicated to use, and that the gel preparations often expire before there is a chance to use all of the chips.
