NGS Automation Designed for Throughput and Flexibility PIPETMAX® 278 NGS is purpose-configured to support higher-throughput NGS library preparation, while remaining flexible enough to adapt as protocols, kits, and sequencing requirements evolve. Key features include:
- Pre-configured NGS workstation ready to automate magnetic bead–based cleanup protocols such as the AMPure® XP bead-based protocol from Beckman Coulter®
- Large 16 position deck supporting multi-plate setups and extended walk-away runs
- Integrated magnetic bead rack enabling hands-free bead capture, washing, and elution with consistent timing
- Two interchangeable 8-channel pipetting heads (MAX8x20 and MAX8x200) supporting 1–200 µL transfers (up to 1200 µL with optional MAX4x1200 head)
- Built-in tip intelligence that automatically selects 1 to 8 tips per step for optimal speed and tip efficiency
- Accurate low-volume pipetting critical for reproducible bead cleanup and sequencing-ready libraries
