Description
From polymers to ceramics, and from biomaterials to plastics, extensometers are used to determine crucial strength characteristics in modern materials. Incorporating Shimadzu s Digital Strain Processing Engine to improve the capturing and processing of sensor results, the SIE-560 Series employs magnetic-induction linear sensors, as well as strain-gauge sensors (560S only) to deliver results with better information and a higher level of repeatability.
Features:
High Measurement Accuracy
Both models use high-accuracy magnetic induction linear sensors, which are light, compact, and capable of measurement accuracy significantly superior to conventional sensors in both small and large elongation ranges.
Strain-gauge Sensor
In addition to the magnetic induction linear sensor, the SIE-560S incorporates an ultra-accurate strain gauge sensor that rests at the tip of the specimen mounting arms. This enhances measurement accuracy in the small-elongation range.
Digital Strain Processing Engine
Using a high-speed CPU to measure sensor outputs at high resolution, the engine then rapidly processes the large volumes of data. Real-time digital calibration of the engine allows highly repeatable data output, contributing to greater accuracy.
