Capillary Rheometer

A capillary rheometer is designed to measure shear viscosity and other flow properties. Capillary rheometers are able to test basic polymers, compounds, composites, and other materials. This technology ensures testing conditions are reflective of processing conditions at high pressure and speed techniques. Additional rheological properties that can be evaluated from capillary rheometers data are extrudate swell, thermal stability, wall slip, and extensional viscosity. Key considerations for capillary rheometers would include the pressure, speed, and capacity of operation of each unit.
