Multi-Analyte Controls

Quality controls come in both single-analyte and multi-analyte versions. Multi-analyte controls may cover a few parameters or dozens of parameters. Types include controls for clinical chemistry, immunoassay, toxicology, cardiac markers, therapeutic drug monitoring, coagulation, and maternal screening.

What Are Multi-Analyte Controls Used For?

By mimicking a sample, a quality control can be used to monitor system performance and verify the accuracy and precision of many laboratory techniques. Combining several drug controls into one multi-analyte control material can offer time savings for the lab as well as cost effectiveness. Multi-analyte controls come in a wide range of formats to enhance flexibility for the user, including liquid or lyophilized (freeze dried) controls and assayed or unassayed versions.
