Laboratory Reactors

A Laboratory reactor is designed for the optimization and reproduction of various chemical reactions, dispersal, mixing, and homogenizing processes. Applications of laboratory reactors include mixing and drying powders, developing lotions and creams, fuel research, and fiber processing in liquids and polymers. Key considerations for laboratory reactors are primarily dependent on the types of reactions taking place (polymerization, hydrocracking, etc). Other considerations include flow rate, temperature range, volume, and pressure range.

DescriptionThese are the most popular of all Parr Stirred Reactors. Although they are called “Mini” reactors, they offer a range of sizes large enough to work with significant sample sizes, yet small enough to be handled with ease by all operators. They are made in both fixed head and moveable vessel styles, ... Read MoreThe Series 2500 Micro Batch Reactor System is the smallest of Parr's family of stirred reactors and is available in a number of configurations. With reactor volumes of 5 mL or 10 mL, independent reactor gas filling, PID temperature control, and a choice of two closure styles, the flexibility of the ... Read MoreThis system incorporates three tubular reactors that can be configured as required to operate in a strictly parallel fashion or in a cascade arrangement where the products from one reactor are immediately directed to a second reactor. This type of system can support reaction schemes including but ... Read MoreStirring biomass such as straw or grasses is not easy to do in a vertical reactor. A line of reactors has been developed by Parr Instrument Company to function horizontally. These new reactors are secured vertically for loading and then safely tilted horizontally for stirring. The reactor can even ... Read MoreThe Parr Series 5000 Multiple Reactor System has been designed to provide an integrated system for running multiple reactions simultaneously and applying the principles of high throughput experimentation to reactions conducted at elevated temperatures and pressures.
