Digital Temperature Controller / Temperature Controllers

Laboratory equipment often contains temperature-sensitive materials, and imprecise or irregular temperature control can ruin devices, samples, or experiments. Temperature controllers are designed to maintain a desired temperature within furnaces, environmental chambers, heating mantles, or any equipment prone to temperature swings as the result of combustion or resistive load. A digital temperature controller can maintain a constant temperature with minimal overshooting, within a range as wide as -200 °C to 1371 °C. For some applications, accuracy is more desirable than temperature range, and the best temperature controllers for these purposes will have accuracies of 0.1% of span. These temperature controllers can be broadly categorized by the type of control mechanism they employ, such as a PID controller (the most common), step-free manual dial control, or the ability to select multiple control methods. Heavy-duty models can include computer servers that provide control for your digital temperature controller.

DescriptionThe PowrTrol control is a solid-state, proportional-voltage power control that provides precise manual control of heating mantles, tapes, cords, and other resistive loads. The output range is conveniently adjustable from 5-100% of rated voltage. This unit features a single output. The DigiTrol II uses a 1/16 DIN microprocessor-based, user-selectable control mode temperature control. The control features a digital dual output display for set point and process temperature indication. The automatic-tuning feature ensures increased temperature accuracy with minimum overshoot. ... It regulates mantles, tapes, and cords, as well as small furnaces, ovens, hot plates, dies, and other applications requiring stepless control. MiniTrol may also be used on any non-inductive loads ... Read MoreGlas-Col's PowrTwin control is capable of controlling two separate circuits independently. Like the PowrTrol, the PowrTwin is a solid-state, proportional-voltage controller that allows the precise manual control of laboratory heating equipment such as heating tapes, cords, and mantles.
