Hypoxia Incubator / Hyperoxia Incubators

A laboratory incubator maintains a controlled environment for cell and tissue cultures that require particular conditions. While a standard incubator may be able to control oxygen levels to some extent, a hypoxia incubator is required when maintaining cultures at oxygen levels below 1%. These conditions are necessary for experiments such as those analyzing particular anaerobic microorganisms or tumor microenvironments. Some things to consider when purchasing a hypoxia incubator include the incubator’s capacity, temperature range, interface, and whether additional types of gases can be added to the incubator.
