| Description | Our Cable Detector enables the precise detection and localisation of power lines, wooden beams, metals and other objects such as water-filled plastic pipes in walls, floors and ceilings. Thanks to its versatility, it can be used on various surfaces such as wood, wallpaper, plaster, acoustic walls Our Cable Detector enables the precise detection and localisation of power lines, wooden beams, metals and other objects such as water-filled plastic pipes in walls, floors and ceilings. Thanks to its versatility, it can be used on various surfaces such as wood, wallpaper, plaster, acoustic walls and painted walls.
The device is equipped with a 1.9-inch colour LCD display that provides a clear visual representation of the scan results. A signalling system consisting of coloured LEDs, acoustic cues and directional arrows quickly provides precise information about the proximity and position of the detected object. The LED system indicates green for no obstacles, yellow for nearby objects and red for an obstacle directly under the scanner. The Cable Detector has three detection modes: the metal detection mode for identifying metal objects, the wood detection mode for localising wooden beams and the power mode for detecting live wires. In the metal and power line modes, the device displays the signal strength as a percentage. In wood detection mode, the scanner recognises both the exact centre and the edges of wooden beams, allowing their position and size to be precisely determined.
To further improve the accuracy, the sensitivity can be adjusted in three stages so that the detection can be optimally adapted to the respective conditions. An integrated marking hole makes it possible to mark the drilling site immediately after detection. The Cable Detector also offers automatic calibration, which can be performed on any wall surface. The menu is available in five languages: Russian, English, Portuguese, Japanese as well as Chinese. The automatic switch-off is adjustable and can vary between 5 and 15 minutes or be deactivated completely, depending on requirements. The acoustic signal can also be switched off if required. For reliable and wireless use, the device is equipped with a powerful lithium-ion battery that can be charged quickly and easily via a USB-C port.
With this powerful and user-friendly Cable Detector, obstacles can be reliably detected and construction and renovation work can be carried out safely and efficiently.... The Cable Detector supports shielded and unshielded twisted-pair cables of categories Cat 3, Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Cat 7, Cat 7A, as well as coaxial cables, such as those used in TV, antenna, and surveillance systems.
Testing is carried out using a two-part system consisting of a main unit and a remote unit, which also allows permanently installed cables to be tested reliably. The most important test procedures include continuity testing of the conductors (pins 1–8), wiring testing to check the correct assignment of the wire pairs, and the detection of short circuits, wiring faults, and split-pair faults. In addition, the shielding of shielded cables is checked. The test range covers cable lengths of up to 305 m, whilst the minimum cable length for split-pair detection is approximately 0.5 m.
Our Cable Detector operates using test signals transmitted between the main unit and the remote unit. The results are displayed via LED indicators. Steady LEDs indicate correct wiring, whilst flashing LEDs indicate faults in the respective wire pairs. Additional status LEDs indicate the type of fault, such as short circuit, miswiring, reversal, or split pair.
The Cable Detector is used in network technology, building cabling, and in IT and communications installations, and is designed for electricians, network technicians, and service technicians to quickly test cable runs.... It is ideal for measuring coating thicknesses on non-metallic substrates, such as plastic parts, wood or glass, as well as for determining the thickness of metallic base materials and coatings.
Thanks to its multi-layer measurement function, the Material Tester enables the precise analysis of complex material structures and multi-layer systems. The brilliant IPS color display ensures a razor-sharp display of all measured values, parameters and waveforms. The integrated waveform display allows precise control of the signal quality and thus contributes to the high measurement accuracy.
The sonic velocity can be individually adjusted to achieve optimum results for different materials. In addition, the Material Tester has 21 preset materials that are ready for immediate use. Thanks to the continuous measurement function, larger areas can also be checked quickly and efficiently.
Another advantage of the Material Tester is the internal memory for up to 999 data records, which can be used to easily document and later analyze measurement results. The stored data can be displayed directly on the device and, if required, conveniently read out, analyzed and exported in various formats using the PC software supplied....
