A moisture balance, also called a moisture analyzer, measures the amount of moisture in a substance. This is particularly helpful in food processing labs as the amount of moisture can be an indicator of freshness and quality for some foods. These analyzers are also commonly used in environmental, pharmaceutical, and materials science labs. There are several techniques that may be used to measure moisture. Some techniques used include measuring water vapor released following combustion of the sample, measuring the difference in weight after removal of moisture from the sample, and measuring the equilibrium of water vapor of the sample in a closed system. Some things to take into consideration when purchasing a moisture balance include capacity, precision, speed, method of measurement, software, and whether the samples to be measured come in solid or liquid form.

Our Moisture Analyser / Moisture Analyzer has been specially developed for light and bulky Moisture Analyser / Moisture Analyzer for light and bulky materials / weighing range 400 g / adjustable heating temperature / 4-inch LC display / 4-digit device ID / large drying pan / software (optional)
Our Moisture Analyser / Moisture Analyzer has been specially developed for light and bulky materials. It has an exceptionally large drying pan and is suitable for applications in the fields of raw material extraction, production, processing, research and recycling.
With a maximum weighing capacity of 400 g, a volume of 360 cm³ and a high measuring resolution of 0.001 g, the Moisture Analyser / Moisture Analyzer enables precise and reliable moisture measurements. The balance works according to the principle of drying with simultaneous weighing: the weight loss is continuously recorded and displayed as a percentage of the total mass. With a heater output of 2 x 250 W and an adjustable heating temperature of 40 °C to 220 °C, the Moisture Analyser / Moisture Analyzer offers quick and flexible drying of samples. The device provides various parameters for analysis, including % moisture, % dry matter, % moisture bd as well as g residual weight/kg and residual weight.
The practical functions include an automatic power-off function that stops the drying process when the constant weight is reached. This can be flexibly set to three criteria: sampling start, sampling interval and weight loss per sampling interval. A timer with an adjustable duration of 1 to 180 minutes is also available. A menu lock protects the parameters against unintentional adjustment; the menu can be locked by PIN whereas the CAL menu item remains accessible. The balance offers up to 9 programme memory locations for easy handling of drying profiles. Data is output via an RS-232 interface or a USB connection. Optional software is available for transferring data to a PC. GLP-compliant documentation is carried out using the Data Bridge software as the balance does not have an integrated printer. However, an external printer can be purchased separately to output the measurement data directly. A 4-digit device ID also enables the unique allocation of the measurement data.
The Moisture Analyser / Moisture Analyzer is ideal for applications in the wood, agricultural and plastics industries, e.g. for shavings, animal feed or granulates. It delivers precise results even at very low moisture contents.... Our Moisture Balances is a high-precision device that has been specially developed for Moisture Balances especially for plaster and gypsum analysis / weighing range 220 g / infrared and quartz heater / adjustable heating temperature / 4-inch LC display / 4-digit device ID / software (optional)
Our Moisture Balances is a high-precision device that has been specially developed for plaster / gysum analysis. With a maximum weighing capacity of 220 g and a measuring resolution of 0.001 g, it enables exact and reliable moisture measurements. The balance works on the principle of drying with simultaneous weighing. During drying, the weight loss is continuously recorded and displayed as a percentage of the total mass.
The Moisture Balances has two adjustable heating temperature ranges: 40 °C ... 180 °C and 105 °C ... 360 °C - which are made possible by two powerful radiant heaters: a 250 W infrared heater and a 375 W quartz heater. These heating elements ensure precise and efficient drying results and can be operated independently of each other in timer or automatic mode. For measurement evaluation, the device offers various parameters such as % moisture, % dry matter, % moisture bd as well as g residual weight / kg and residual weight, which enable the sample to be analysed.
The functions include an automatic power-off function which stops the drying process when a constant weight is reached. The automatic power-off can be set to three criteria: start of sampling, sampling interval and weight loss per sampling interval. This allows a high degree of flexibility in controlling the drying process. There is also a timer that can be set from 1 to 180 minutes. Our device is also equipped with a menu lock that prevents accidental adjustment of the parameters. The menu can be locked using a PIN whereas the CAL menu item remains available. The balance has a programme memory with up to 9 memory locations to store and quickly call up different drying profiles. However, this function is only available in combination with the overhead luminous radiant heater.
Data can be transferred to a PC via software which must be purchased separately. All data can also be output via the serial RS-232 interface and USB. The Moisture Balances guarantees GLP-compliant documentation. The data is output via the Data Bridge software as the balance does not have a built-in printer. The balance also has a 4-digit device ID for unique identification of the device, which enables precise allocation of the measurement data.
Our Moisture Balances is ideal for the analysis of gypsum in various areas, such as mining, flue gas desulphurisation in coal-fired power plants and recycling. It enables the analysis of free moisture, chemically bound water as well as the degree of purity and water of crystallisation of the gypsum material.... Read More | Inquire | Inquire |
