Features/benefits Nexis GC-2030, Shimadzu’s premier gas chromatograph, offers a modern approach to a classic chromatographic technique. Designed with the user in mind, new innovative features, exceptional performance and high-throughput capabilities will elevate your lab to the next level.
Features/benefits - Faster ROI with versatile, expandable configurations – allows for up to three analytical lines for greater productivity or for the versatility of more analyses to be packaged into one GC
- Reduced operating costs with Eco mode – optimizes the use of carrier gas such as helium and reduces electricity use when idle
- Improved workflow with touch-panel interface and remote communications – ensures easy monitoring of the system’s operating status
- Increased productivity with tool-free column installation and inlet maintenance
- Optional, built-in sensor to monitor real time levels of hydrogen in the oven
Further enhancing productivity is LabSolutions workstation software that fully integrates LC and GC functionality. It offers both easy operability and extensive functionality. This includes a new data browser, convenient for comparing multiple sets of data simultaneously, and a Quick-Batch Function that simplifies the tedious process of creating injection sequences.... Multi-Dimensional GC/GCMS System: A multi-dimensional GC/GCMS system performs separation using two columns that have different characteristics. The system has a mechanism in which the components that are insufficiently separated in the first column they pass through (the "1st column") are introduced ("heart-cut") to a second, different column (the "2nd column"). This enables analysis with a level of separation that cannot be attained in conventional single-column analysis. Outstanding retention time stability : In the past, samples have been introduced to columns using the switching mechanism known as Deans-switching. However, this system results in such problems as a reduced recovery rate and fluctuations in the retention time. The MDGC/GCMS-2010 system incorporates multi-Deans switching, a new mechanism that significantly reduces the likelihood of fluctuations in the retention times of eluted components, even if switching is performed several times. A Wide Variety of Optional Systems : In addition to GCMS, various other detectors, such as an FID or FPD, can be used with the MDGC/GCMS-2010. For example, a headspace sampler and thermal desorption system can be connected and controlled as a pretreatment system. When not using the MDGC/GCMS-2010 as an MDGC system, it is possible to use the GC and GCMS components as independent systems by changing the column and detector connections. ... Read More |
