LCMS Sample Preparation

Liquid chromatography-mass spectroscopy (LCMS) requires extensive sample preparation in order to achieve its famed precision and accuracy. An LCMS sample preparation system can use membranes with various type of filters, such as hydrophilic nylon or polyethersulfone filters; alternatively, an HPLC sample preparation system can utilize vacuum purification. LCMS sample preparation systems can handle sample volumes as small as 100 µl, while others can handle <100 µl and >100 µl capacity. LCMS sample preparation equipment such as kits are also available.
