Cell Freezing Containers for controlled-rate alcohol-free cell freezing provide a highly reproducible -1?/minute freezing rate when placed in a -80? freezer, with no alcohol or fluids required. The Cell Freezing Container technology utilizes a thermo-conductive alloy core and highly-insulative outer material to control the rate of heat removal to provide reproducible cell cryopreservation. The insulative outer housing and thermo-conductive solid state core ensure consistent heat removal to all vials throughout the freezing period.

Cell Freezing Containers can replace isopropanol-based freezing containers such as Mr. Frosty by ThermoFisher Scientific and others, which can consume up to 12l per year of IPA and cost hundreds of dollars per unit per year to maintain.

These storage plates are designed for high density sample collection and storage for a wide array of applications within cell biology, molecular biology and drug discovery. They come in three formats: 1.2ml volume U shaped well plates (4ti-0126), 2.2ml volume V shaped (4ti-0132), and 2.2ml volume U shaped (4ti-0136) plates. 4ti-0126 is also recommended as an elution plate on KingFisher™ platforms.

All of these plates are ultra-flat for a completely uniform seal, either with adhesive or heat seals, or with our accompanying silicone sealing mat (4ti-0137). These plates are manufactured in cleanroom facilities which are certified free of RNase, DNase, human genomic DNA and endotoxins. We use only the highest medical grade virgin polypropylene with high resistance against chemicals such as DMSO, phenol, and chloroform.

The Removable 8 Well PCR Tube Strips are inserted into the frames to form a complete plate, part plate, or individual strip with an easy-to-handle frame. As the Removable 8 Well PCR Tube Strips are interchangeable with the frames, the frames themselves are re-usable; simply purchase more Removable 8 Well PCR Tube Strips to use.

The frames can be purchased separately, or pre-loaded with Removable 8 Well PCR Tube Strips.
