This design combines the advantages of ultra-thin wall polypropylene tubes for optimum PCR results with a rigid polycarbonate skirt and deck for the highest thermal stability. We recommend this semi-skirted plate for use with ABI® thermal cyclers and sequencers; it can be used directly with ABI® instruments with no adapters necessary. The only case where this is not true is with the ABI Fast Block thermal cyclers; in this case, using our FrameStar Fast Plate is recommended instead.
