Chemical Filtration

Filtration and microfiltration is the process of the separating solid matter and particulate from a mixture of fluid generally involving the use of some type of filter. The solid particles which are too large to pass through the membrane of the filter are trapped, while allowing the liquid to pass through. The pore size of the filter refers to the largest size of particles that are able to pass through it. Chemical filtration involves the process of removing undesirable solid matter and/or contaminants from a chemical solution. This is also done in conjunction with various analytical testing methods to ensure sample integrity.
