Vacuum Evaporator / Vortex Evaporator

Both vacuum evaporation and vortex evaporation are two sample preparation processes that are used to remove moisture from a sample. Vacuum evaporators are used to evaporate liquids through the application of pressure and is sometimes in conjunction with temperature to be reduced below a sample’s vapor pressure. Vortex evaporators are also used to remove liquids to concentrate a sample for sample preparation. Unlike a vacuum evaporator, a vortex evaporator uses vortex motion for this process. Applications include environmental testing, drug development, toxicology, pharmaceutical, forensics, food, semiconductor, and chemistry.
