Diaphragm Vacuum Pump Systems

Diaphragm vacuum pump systems typically refer to a vacuum pump that is supplied with integrated accessories, including controllers and condensate capture glassware. These systems can be for standard duty applications or designed for corrosive applications common in chemistry labs. The integrated controller permits the scientist to set specific vacuum conditions that optimize any of a number of priorities including sample protection, rate of evaporation, amount of heat required to complement the vacuum, or programmed variable conditions. Scientists often choose a vacuum system instead of a simple pump for the convenience and productivity advantages achieved by relying on an electronic controller instead of operator oversight. An alternative technology sometimes referred to as a vacuum pump system is a multi-user vacuum network in a lab that relies on a single pump to support multiple vacuum workstations.
