High Pressure Homogenizer

High-pressure homogenization involved the sudden creation of cavitation, high shear, and turbulence by forcing a fluid through a high-pressure valve. This works both to reduce particle size or cause cell lysing, which is important in the analysis of nucleic acids and proteins. Homogenizers are used in food processing, pharmaceuticals, and environmental studies as well as the life sciences.
