Arc Spark Spectrometer (Spark Emission Spectrometer)

Arc spark spectrometers (or also referred to as spark emission spectrometers) analyze metallic samples through the application of an electric arc or spark, causing analytes to emit light and thereby revealing their presence and concentration by distinctive wavelength signatures. An arc spark spectrometer represents a critical quality control tool in the foundry and steel milling industries. A spark emission spectrometer provides spectral range as high as 780nm and the shortest analysis time is less than 10 seconds. These emission spectrometers offer diverse optical configurations such as Flat Field Optics and Paschen-Runge Optical Mounting systems, with spectral output via charge-coupled device (CCD) or hybrid digital-analog sensors. Innovations include hand-held models and interface options for smart-phones, PDAs, and USB drives.
