Multispectral Imaging (NIR / Raman)

Multispectral imaging systems are used by the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and in medical, biology, and chemistry labs for analysis and quality control. Types of multispectral imaging include NIR (near infrared), which can provide a quick and accurate analysis of samples within the 700–2500 nm wavelength range, and Raman, which measures the scattering of near infrared, visible, or near ultraviolet light. In both cases, the photons that are emitted and absorbed by the sample allow identification of specific molecules.

Considerations for purchasing a Multispectral Imaging System

Sensitivity, specificity, and resolution of images can vary between chemical imaging systems. Another feature to be aware of is what type of imaging the system is capable of and whether other types of imaging can be integrated into the system.

DescriptionWITec’s ParticleScout is an advanced particle analysis tool for the alpha300 confocal Raman microscope series that finds, classifies and identifies microparticles over even large sample areas. Automated routines start by surveying samples with bright and dark field illumination to locate the ... Read MoreThe confocal Raman microscope alpha300 R offers the unique ability to acquire chemical information non-destructively with a resolution down to the optical diffraction limit (~ 200 nm). This allows you to observe and analyze the distribution of different phases within a sample in ambient conditions ... Read MoreThe WITec alpha300 Ri is an inverted confocal Raman imaging microscope that preserves all the functionality of WITec’s standard alpha300 series while introducing a new angle in access and handling. The microscope’s inverted beam geometry enables specimens in aqueous environments such as cell ... Read MoreRISE™ stands for Raman Imaging and Scanning Electron microscopy. Developed by WITec, it is the industry’s first production fully-integrated Raman-SEM system to use a common sample chamber for correlative measurements. It can automatically link ultra-structural surface properties to molecular ... Read MoreWITec´s True Surface Microscopy option (patent pending) allows confocal Raman imaging guided by surface topography. Confocal microscopy is often desirable due to its suppression of out-of-focus light but can be challenging when analyzing large or rough surfaces. In these cases, only those ... Read More
