Description
The WITec alpha300 Ri is an inverted confocal Raman imaging microscope that preserves all the functionality of WITec’s standard alpha300 series while introducing a new angle in access and handling. The microscope’s inverted beam geometry enables specimens in aqueous environments such as cell cultures to be examined more effectively. Standardized liquid sample holder formats can be quickly and easily mounted and measured, accelerating the experimental workflow and helping to ensure consistency. The alpha300 Ri is also compatible with other techniques including fluorescence, differential interference contrast (DIC) and phase-contrast microscopy.
Investigations in materials science will be aided by the very large working area that can accommodate bulky samples and the motorized sample stage also facilitates the mounting of environmental enclosures and other accessories. Research applications in life sciences, biomedicine and geosciences in particular will benefit from the consistency and flexibility provided by the geometry of the alpha300 Ri.
