Image Analysis Software

In the laboratory, computer-assisted image analysis is used to acquire quantitative information from a specimen or sample. With user-friendly systems and advancing technology, previously time-consuming and monotonous tasks can be done efficiently and easily.

What is Image Analysis?

The term image analysis is the method by which an object or specimen on a slide or photograph is analyzed, resulting in the accumulation of quantitative data. In some cases, a two-dimensional structure is converted to a three-dimensional structure by means of image analysis software, most of which include the needed calculations in order to do so. Image analysis systems are used for DNA analysis, immunohistochemistry, gel electrophoresis, medical imaging, and more.
