Found in laboratories throughout the world, spectrophotometers allow researchers to accurately and reliably quantify concentrations of target compounds, detect and quantify impurities, and observe chemical reactions. Broadly based on the principles of the Beer-Lambert law, spectrophotometers detect the amount of light absorbed or transmitted by a sample to determine the concentration of a specific compound within it.
Given their reliability and relative ease of use, spectrophotometers are used to conduct quality control testing and research in fields such as clinical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, materials, and environmental science.
Spectrophotometers are available in an array of configurations including double beam or single beam and can accept samples contained in cuvettes or microplates. Additionally, the wavelength range measured by the instrument can vary, models are available to measure in the UV range, visible range, and near-infrared (NIR) range.
Below you will find a few of our top-rated spectrophotometers, you can compare specifications or request a quote from leading suppliers.
